The updated verification process for external wallets is now live. As previously announced, we have improved this process to better protect your account and comply with the latest security standards.

What do you need to do?
Starting today, verifications for your previously used withdrawal addresses are open. You can continue to use these addresses as usual for the next 14 days. After this period, a one-time verification is required to reactivate the address for withdrawals. You can verify your wallet directly via my.knaken.eu/settings/wallets or in the Knaken app under your profile at ‘External Wallets’.

The methods

• WalletConnect: Link your wallet and sign a digital message. This is the fastest way and completely free of charge. Available for Ethereum, Solana, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, and Base.

• Penny Check: Send a specific micro-amount, pre-specified by us, from the wallet you want to verify to our verification address. This amount will be credited back to your account immediately after approval. Please ensure you send the exact amount requested.   

Important
It is only possible to verify your own wallets (self-custody). Direct withdrawals from your Knaken account to other exchanges are no longer supported. Naturally, it remains possible to send your crypto from your own wallet to any other wallet or exchange. If you have a wallet in your list that you no longer manage, you can simply remove it.
